Every e-Commerce website design is designed so as to entice a visitor to make a purchase. Before working on an e-commerce web design, designers should take into consideration a variety of online sale principles, including major design aspects.

While, one may think that there is little or no difference between an eCommerce website design and any other web design, the truth is even though they both have to be attractive and well-organized; a careful study of the former reveals conceptual differences typical of a successful e-commerce website.

When designing for e-Commerce, it is important to keep the site’s purpose in mind i.e. selling, lots of selling. Following general principles as under will ensure success, such as:

1.	A pleasant online shopping experience for users.

2. Providing an in-depth introduction and sufficient information on the site’s owner, including the business site’s trustworthiness.

3. Provide for easy maneuverability round the site for making online purchases. A fussy website design does not ensure sales success, but only serves to drive away customers to business competitors.

If, you are looking for someone to translate conventional marketing techniques in to the virtual world of the Net, there are a number of very good web design India firms that can do the needful for you. Some of them are particularly good at exposing the visitor to an e-commerce website owner’s product lines with neat, clean web designs and easy to get around websites.

A good website design India firm can lead visitors to the right page with the help of just one or two clicks of the mouse. A number of them are particularly adept at using the one click approach to the best advantage, presenting the user with all product facts, leaving him with little or no option, but to click and fill in the order form. And, if he is still not convinced, these website design India firms are quite practiced in giving them an option to read up on more product facts and client testimonials. These firms web design are singularly good at predicting what the user wants on his first visit.

Not every web design firm is as capable. How many website designers keep in mind that it is important to know what a user looks at first when accessing a web page. Considerable research on the topic shows the middle left side area followed by the page centre is what attracts the most attention. Only experienced eCommerce web designers know how to create designs to match these demands.

Website design India firms, such as, Net Solutions have grasped and understood the web design principles one should employ for successful e-Commerce websites. It designs not only for pleasurable online sales experiences for buyers, but also ensures repeat customers.

The intention of web templates is to design a web site. Web design templates are used for separation of content from presentation in a web design and mass production of web documents. These collections of electronic files reside on one or more web servers to present content to the end user in the form of web pages. Studies have shown that web templates can grab interest of the first time user in only 10 seconds.

Web design templates are designed for professional and visual appeal. One can have a customized web design for a better reflection of the companies brand or for personal or commercial use.

Most of the web design templates created for commercial use, and should be appealing and luring to the visitors of the site. The web template should be stunning, innovative and ready to use. A spectacular web template will without doubt create an eye-catching home page that can almost grab the visitor by the collar and engross them on the site. However not all persons have the technical skills to create web design templates. For such people one can always ask a professional to make a customized web page at a certain cost.

For a minimal fee, one can own web design templates created by the best designers. These web templates are cost effective, unique, professionally designed, have functional web layouts, innovative, easy to customize with interfaces in Photoshop format. Other than purchasing the web templates, it is also possible to get free web design templates from the various websites that offer them. After purchase, the website can be used as one’s own but there are rules pertaining to the terms of usage. To avoid copyright, one should have the link of the web designer on the home page. An amount can be paid not to have the designers’ link on the home page.

After downloading the web design templates, one can replace all generic information that came with it and use their own to fit their profile or organization brand. The web templates are used to display personal information or day-to-day activities, to display information about an organization or company, displaying family history, a gallery of photos, to place music files or mp3 through the browser or to set up private login areas on-line.

Most of the successful web designs companies and other designers emphasize that the most important factor for creating web design templates is that it should offer original content to the readers in a way that will easily assist the search engine results. To be able to achieve this, web design templates should be interesting, in that they should attract viewers by adding quality and original content. Other ways are getting the brand right, keeping the home context short, easy linking pages, pictures to give enough emphasis; also, the size of the text especially on home page should be large enough to suit the web design layout. However, one is not limited to one design it is best to research on the content that one wants to use and even ask peers on the best way to create good web design templates.

Here you will find some necessary design guidelines that are generally followed in the web design industry. You only get one chance to make a good first impression! So design a clean, friendly and easy to navigate web site. Keep it simple for both the humans and search engine spiders. The more bells & whistles you have on your website the more it becomes difficult for search engines to spider your website. Humans too, are more receptive towards simple web designs. The use of too many colors is a sign of an amateur. It distracts the visitor and feels amateurish. Therefore, choose only two three colors. Also limit your special effects. Special effects should be used for impact, not as the basis of your design. Just because they are there, does not mean you must use them. Simplicity rules! KEEP IT SUPER SIMPLE. Here are some professional level tips.

Web Design Guidelines for Using Fonts: If your site does not use standard fonts (such as Arial, Verdana, Times New Roman) the chances are that your visitors won’t see your fonts as you want them to see. It may appear altogether different on their computers. So, live with standard fonts. This Web Design Guide is written in Verdana. It is extremely easy to see. Furthermore the text should always be dark on a light background. Your content is intended for easier reading. Use bolds and underlines only when you want to emphasize some point. Don’t use graphics for a paragraph of text unless it’s absolutely necessary. Also make sure to include an “Alt Tag”, to make your image visible to search engine spiders. Links to other sites should be blue and underlined.

Web Design Guidelines for Display and Width: One of the first things about the professional Web site design is understanding that your site will be viewed on a variety of computer platforms and browsers. Mostly it doesn’t matter, but occasionally it does. Although the standard screen resolutions for those with good eyesight are 1024 by 768 pixels, many folks still use 800 by 600. So, you should design for the lowest common of screen size, which is 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels tall. This will ensure that all people can see the whole page on their display. It is better to design your pages so that they are consistent across various platforms. It’s a good idea to design your entire page for 800×600, but keep the width of text within 640 pixels. People with older computers will still be able to read your content, even if some parts of the page require scrolling. If you must use images, do not forget to include ALT text. Your image name should be keyword focused. Images are for humans only. Search engine spiders cannot see them. So, it’s a good idea to name the image with ALT Text to make it visible for the search engine spiders.

Web Design Guidelines for Developing Consistent Navigation: In making professional Web site design, consistency is the most important factor to keep in mind. Nothing is more unprofessional in Website design than a different colored background for every page. Backgrounds, colors, fonts, navigation buttons all need to present your site visitor with the same appearance. Your visitors should be able to navigate to any page on your site within three mouse clicks of the homepage. Keep this simple rule in mind. Remember the 3-Tier website structure from my article “How to Plan a Website?” You can keep your website elements consistent when you use the same template for every page on your site. Essentially, consistency is about making it easy for your visitors to find what they want. Use headlines and underlines clearly to identify headings. Each page should be clearly identified and fonts should be consistent in color and size from page to page. You want your readers to become accustomed to a consistent website layout, so they can move quickly and easily through your website.

Your Home Page should link to each Tier-2 Page. Each Tier-2 Page should have a link back to home page. Your site’s home page should act as the crossroads, the point of origin for all traffic going into your site. Always include a link to home on every single page. This way, if users do get confused, or just want to start over from the top, they’re only one click away. You should always put navigation bars on the left side unless it is impossible. You visitors want your navigation bar to appear on the left side of the screen, and that is where they look for it. So do not deviate from the standard.

Web Design Guidelines for Page Backgrounds: No one likes to waste time squinting to read text on floral, striped, or otherwise busy backgrounds, not even you. You will most likely get a headache just looking at the background. Imagine if you had to read a portion of text with that image in the background.

Web Design Guidelines for Pages that load Fast: Your visitors are in hurry. They would not stay on website that takes time to load. The more bells and whistles you include in your website design the more time it takes to load. Therefore, page elements that slow down the time it takes to display your pages may be forcing your impatient surfers to escape. Large or animated graphics, Flash, and audio elements of any kind disrupt the bandwidth. Your website design may include graphics that are compressed to the smallest size without affecting appearance. So it is vital that you keep page sizes as low as possible.

Pop-Ups: Pop-ups are not very popular with Web surfers. Most of them use pop-up blockers on their browsers. Focus on your customers, and limit the use of pop-ups as much as possible.

Check Your Website Design in all Three Browsers: Keep checking your Web design on at least the latest versions of the most popular web browsers i.e. Internet Explorer and Firefox. While no site looks identical on all monitors, browsers, and computers, you can design sites that look good on all, but only if you test the site on all.

Design for the whole site, not the particular element. Make sure that your web site elements complement each other and deliver the overall mood and impact that you want your viewers to experience. Consider these points seriously. Do not design just to please yourself. Gurus recommend simple designs, including easy, clean left-hand navigation. Clean, simple designs and navigation are favorites to both humans and search engine spiders. The spiders can’t see the design, but they do love easy-to-follow navigation! Humans, of course, love both design and easy navigation. And eventually, the engines track human response. Moral of the story:

Keep these website design guidelines in mind and look around for the other Websites on the net and learn from what you see. That doesn’t mean copying, but instead, studying what others have done and understanding what works and what doesn’t. Here are some great online resources helpful to professional Web site design. Keep Learning! Avoid Politics and religion. Include only those pages that are relevant to your topic. Let your individuality shine through on your own voice. Inject your own unique sense of humor and personality. Give your readers a reason to come back for more of your personal wit and wisdom. Keep your design clean and simple, with plenty of white space. Don’t confuse surfer with a multitude of choices. Make it easy for him to find his way to access content, and to buy. Limit your use of exotic design elements such as Flash technology. You want your site to be attractive, but you are not entering an art contest. Keep your attention, and your visitor’s attention, on your message. Ease of navigation must be one of your primary considerations. When your visitor reaches your home page, he should be able to instantly understand the layout of the site and links to all the other pages. As much as possible, link all your pages to each other. Your over-delivering quality content will keep them in!

If you’re considering a career in web design, you will need to study Adobe Dreamweaver. To utilise Dreamweaver commercially in web design, a thorough comprehension of the entire Adobe Web Creative Suite (which incorporates Flash and Action Script) is something to consider very seriously. Having such skills means, you have the choice to become either an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) or Adobe Certified Professional (ACP). Making websites is just the start of the necessary skill-set for professional web masters today. You’d be wise to look for a program with additional features such as PHP, HTML and MySQL to allow you to appreciate how to maintain content, drive traffic and program dynamic database-driven web-sites. Typically, a new trainee will not know to ask about a painfully important area – how their company breaks up the courseware, and into how many parts. Students often think it makes sense (when study may take one to three years to achieve full certification,) for your typical trainer to courier one module at a time, until you’ve passed all the exams. However: What happens when you don’t complete every single exam? What if you don’t find their order of learning is ideal for you? Without any fault on your part, you may go a little slower and not receive all the modules you’ve paid for. To provide the maximum security and flexibility, it’s not unusual for students to make sure that every element of their training is sent immediately, and not in a piecemeal fashion. It’s then your own choice in which order and at what speed you want to finish things. A expert and specialised advisor (in direct contrast to a salesman) will ask questions and seek to comprehend your current situation. This is paramount to calculating the point at which you need to start your studies. Don’t forget, if you’ve got any accreditation or direct-experience, then it’s not unreasonable to expect to begin at a different level to a trainee with no history to speak of. Starting with a basic PC skills module first may be the ideal way to start into your IT program, but really depends on your level of familiarity with computers. With so much choice, there’s no surprise that nearly all students don’t really understand the best career path they could be successful with. I mean, if you have no background in the IT market, how are you equipped to know what someone in a particular field fills their day with? How can you possibly choose which accreditation path would be most appropriate for your success. To attack this, we need to discuss a number of different aspects: * Our personalities play a major role – what things get your juices flowing, and what are the activities that put a frown on your face. * For what reasons you’re getting involved with Information Technology – is it to overcome some personal goal such as firing your boss and working for yourself maybe. * Your earning requirements that guide you? * With so many different sectors to gain certifications for in computing – there’s a need to pick up some background information on what differentiates them. * Taking a proper look at what commitment and time that you can put aside. For the average person, getting to the bottom of these areas needs a long talk with an experienced pro that has direct industry experience. And we don’t just mean the qualifications – but the commercial requirements of industry too. One crafty way that colleges make a big mark-up is via an ‘exam inclusive’ package and offering an exam guarantee. It looks impressive, but let’s just examine it more closely: Thankfully, today we’re a tad more knowledgeable about sales gimmicks – and most of us grasp that it is actually an additional cost to us (it isn’t free or out of the goodness of their hearts!) It’s everybody’s ambition to qualify on the first attempt. Entering examinations in order and funding them one at a time sees you much better placed to get through first time – you put the effort in and are mindful of the investment you’ve made. Why pay the training college early for examinations? Hold on to your money and pay for the exam when you’re ready, rather than pay marked up fees – and sit exams more locally – rather than in some remote place. Buying a course that includes payments for examination fees (plus interest – if you’re financing your study) is insane. Why fill a company’s coffers with your money just to give them a good cash-flow! A lot bank on the fact that you will never make it to exams – so they don’t need to pay for them. The majority of companies will insist on pre-tests and with-hold subsequent exam entries from you until you’ve completely proven that you’re likely to pass – making an ‘exam guarantee’ just about worthless. VUE and Prometric examinations are currently clocking in at an average of 112 pounds in Great Britain. Why pay exorbitant fees for ‘exam guarantees’ (most often hidden in the package) – when the best course materials, the right level of support and exam preparation systems and a dose of commitment and effort are what’s required.

As per study conducted by the Forrester Research, the current market is an ideal one for the emergence new web hosting companies, currently there is “positive — if modest — growth for Web hosting and managed IT services, at both the enterprise and SMB levels. ”

It is an ideally suited business if one indulges as a web designer or rather IT consultant. This business suits best for small consulting firms. Now the question arises why to ignore such services which several small businesses potentially require? Hosting is a supreme source of revenue on monthly basis.

If one talks about the flourishing sectors of Internet then name of hosting industry will be among one of them. Several corporations such as Yahoo are in the race of providing web hosting services. Anyone who wishes to join this highly profitable business is always welcome and has the right to grab his/her financial share, except when he/she can rightly perform his/her duty.

For a dream web hosting company, one should adopt two tested and wrathful rules as mentioned below:

1. ) The prime aspect of the user should be on offering high-quality services in a two-tiered pricing schedule.

2. ) The user should know about the importance of an automated infrastructure for development of self-sufficient customers. In the case of marketing, it is very important for the user to increase the chances of accurate opportunities.

The facility of automation will not only enhance the self-sufficiency of the client but also will reduce the expenses of the user to a low level. For the purpose of giving level best services, the prime thing which user requires is at least the following processes to be automated:

1. ) Order forms (in case of new customer account set up or existing customer updates),

2. ) Billing system,

3. ) Administration system,

4. ) End-user control panel, and

5. ) Technical support interface.

Order Forms:

It is mandatory that the front end of user’s order form should provide a minimum of the four key functional aspects given below:

a. ) It should ensure the information of domain for registration purposes,

b. ) It should legalize entered results,

c. ) It should provide the facility to process the customer’s credit card or else provide creation of an invoice,

d. ) It should register customer’s information into billing database for the future prospects.

It is must that the backend of the order form must process the domain registration, in case it is required by the customer and should generate the Web hosting account.

Administration System

One should know that the administration system is quite an essential factor in the purpose of managing ordered accounts. The user might require manually adding or eliminating several new domains, change passwords, etc.

End-User Control Panel

If one wants his/her customer should manage his/her account, then an end-user control panel is necessary. At the end, the customers should be in the condition where they can set up their own e-mail accounts, view Website statistics and can manage files etc.

Billing System

Another very important thing is the presence of automated billing system. The billing system should not only perform the functions like making e-mail invoices, charging credit cards, suspend overdue accounts etc, but should also enable user to issue credit or discounts as per requirement.

Technical Support Interface

There is a wrong opinion that technical support interface is merely a system that generates trouble rather it is an effective tech-support interface that automatically generates an FAQ-interface that customers can look out for before submitting trouble tickets. The advantage of these interfaces is that they can reduce technical support requests by a factor of 10.

Not only that, the company with which the user go with offers the option of taking care of technical support on his/her behalf but branded with user’s brand. Thus one can concentrate his/her potential on other parts of his/her business which requires greater attention.

How to maximize good marketing opportunities

If one knows about what platform to use, what packages to offer and set up a tiered pricing schedule and automated systems. So now how one does maximizes good marketing opportunities through new hosting service?

Pay per Click

This facility allows user to reach to a large segment of customers. In this case although one needs not to pay to list his/her site, he/she does pay when a customer clicks on one’s listing and connects to user’s site. Now an important question arises in one’s mind i. e. how does one gets his/her site high on the results lists? One option is user must engage in a bidding war over how much he/she is willing to pay for each person who clicks through to his/her site. Recently the prices of bidding have grown too high, so one needs to act careful. There are cases where one clicks into one’s site but didn’t convert into a new account. Thus, one needs to be sure to just select targeted keywords and not contending with everyone else for the same keywords. It is not at all an easy game, so one should find his/her role.

How to host Directory Sites?

There are plentiful Web sites known as hosting directories that intend to attract Web hosting customers. The utility of these directories lies in the fact that they are an excellent place to advertise, but one needs to be selective in his/her placement. There are several sites offering banner placement, spotlights, search enhancements, and other forms of advertisement. A key tip in this case would be one should always keep in mind that banner ads are considered much better for building brand recognition rather than generating new accounts, so one should advertise based on his/her budget, and should not just focus on his/her expectation for new customers.

How to influence current Client Base?

If one is running an established Web design firm, information portal, or domain registration service, he/she can quickly start marketing to his/her current clients. For him/her its not easy to generate clients as by sending a simple e-mail to his/her current customer base he/she can immediately generate a large number of accounts. Talking about marketing strategies, there are permission-based email marketing services that work best for earning more revenue from one’s current customers and gaining additional customers. Thus, one should try a free trial of one or more of these services to find one that works well for his/her needs.

How to retain customers?

One should always keep in mind that in order to retain his/her customer; one has to develop and offer new products and services and to make them feel better. This will not only help in retaining customers but also to generate additional revenue. But the most important factor is quality should not be compromised as it is in reality a key to success.

If you turn on the television or radio, you will be bombarded with ads from Internet websites promising to find the cheapest rate on everything. As the public is becoming aware of the availability of the Internet to access any information they want, so too are they flocking to the Internet to check their destinations before they arrive there. Gone are the days of a traveler jumping in the car and stopping in the evening at the first motel they can find. Now a days hotel guests want to see everything up front, from the rooms to the outside of the building, all of it affects how a consumer decides which room in which hotel to rent.

A hotel that does not have a website now may as well be invisible. Consumers are fussier than they have ever been, and, to many, not having a website shows a lack of popularity or professionalism. As the youth of today grows, this opinion will only become more noticeable. Having a hotel website design may become necessary simply to survive the cut-throat industry.

For hotels that have website designs, you might want to look and see exactly how appealing and easy to navigate your design is. Consumers are looking for a seamless, recurring design that is easy to navigate and is appealing to the eye. In a case study we did, we found that simply by redesigning an out-dated site, the hotel was able to generate the same amount of page views that they had had in an entire year in only ten weeks after the site was re-launched.

An important part of hotel web design is being able to work comfortably with your designer. If the designer does not understand what you are looking for, the website may not appeal to you or your clients. The ability to tell them what you need, and to allow them some room for creativity, will allow for a website that not only promotes your hotel, but makes a lasting impression on all of its viewers.

It is important to make the content of a design interesting, and a good web designer will make that happen. If the content is boring, the consumer will click right out of it. If there is too much going on, the potential guest will not be able to understand what they have read. Getting clear, concise content is a crucial step in hotel web design, as is good graphics. As high-speed is becoming more accessible, people are able to load things faster and faster. It is important to not fill the site with junk graphics, but to present your hotel appealingly, tempting all who visit the site to take the next step and visit your hotel.

As the world moves faster and faster, it is becoming more and more important to have not only a good hotel website design, but a great hotel website design. Just as in the old days when hawkers used to pull the crowd off the street into the tent to see incredible sites, so too do you want your hotel website to pull the potential customers off of their computers and into your business.

There are lots of different types of web designer. In my experience working full time in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) I come across all sorts.

Some web designers are part of massive companies, has many other people to go to for support on items from outside their sphere of expertise. They have all the resources, and can not only create fantastic websites, but whole online business solutions.

However, all these fantastic abilities and resources do have one downfall, they cost a large sum of money and many businesses in the UK don’t have the financial clout or marketing budget to employ these people’s services.

Another type of web designer can work in a smaller company with one or two other designers and a couple of programmers. They may not or may not be able to do the same quality job as the larger company, but they can only handle four or five jobs at a time, and may take a bit longer.

The websites from these designers are still likely to do an extremely good job, there might be a few less fancy features, but this website is still likely to cost several thousand pounds. This may be more obtainable for some smaller companies, and the investment may well be returned if the website is successful.

Despite business owners knowing how important a website is, these large kinds of investments are a risk, and although that risk could provide long term dividends, there are no guarantees of this success, and will first look for more affordable web designers.

Some web designers may have mountains of experience but still come cheap. I have worked with some of these as my SEO clients. However, mountains of experience and cheap probably just means that they are still designing sites made from tables.

Frankly websites made from tables are ugly. I’ve made some myself and I think that CSS is a fantastic thing, separating the style from the content and allowing you to beautify a page far more effectively than HTML could alone. It also creates cleaner code, meaning faster loading times for your visitors and is better for the optimisation of the site.

Some web designers are like me. They have studied different types of internet technology or have just enjoyed tinkering around with them like I did when I used to take computers apart.

We come cheap, have bags of potential, can create visually stunning designs and can borrow from the thousands of scripts that are available on the internet for the bits that we don’t know how to hard code ourselves.

We often have one skill that sets us apart from other contemporaries. For example, one of my friends who is another cheap freelance web designer is a great php programmer, and can do things with that, that I cannot imagine how to implement. However I know Search Engine Optimisation as well as website construction and being a search engine marketer has advantages for created websites that most would have to pay large sums of money for.

I am able to create sites that have all the on-page factors ready to be read by the search engines. By getting a few good quality links on the home page, you enable the site to be indexed quickly and if the content is of good enough quality, before too long you will be getting some traffic.

Having a website built buy one of these cheaper designers can still increase revenues and brand awareness, maybe not to the same degree that the larger outlay would get you, but this can be what gives you a platform to get the site of your dreams built.

At the end of the day, you will normally get what you pay for. Higher fees charged usually indicate that the designers have some ability. But just because a freelancers site is cheap, does not mean that the site that they would build for you would not provide your business or even hobby or charity an extremely vital marketing and revenue source.
